I develop my artistic practice in the cities I inhabit by giving attention to their specific urban context. My aim is to disrupt both monotony and patterns of behaviour within that context.
Through a wide of transdisciplinary projects, but specially using photography and performance as a medium, I try to expand the field of possible relationships between bodies and urban spaces. Walking, as a daily action that can be turned into a political and aesthetic tool, is a key strategy to achieve that purpose. It allows new ways of experiencing the urban environment and blurs material or symbolic boundaries existing in the city.
I currently develop my artistic practice in Berlin, where I research the historical account and the border character of a divided and reunited city. Some of my recent projects are also part of my doctoral research still in progress “Urban bodies”, which is focused on the interactions between art and architecture.
